WEATHER
The weather was mostly good during our trip. Daytime high temperatures ranged from the 60s to 70s Fahrenheit, while nighttime lows were in the 30s and 40s. As a general rule the weather was drier and more stable earlier on in our trek when we were closer to the ice cap, and it became wetter and cloudier the closer we got to the coast in the west. We encountered heavy fog during the final two days of the trek. Mosquitoes were a constant source of annoyance and grew more abundant the farther west we went. But there may have been even more of them if we had gone on the trek a few weeks earlier during the height of summer.
